About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Practitioner to join our team as a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist. As a key member of our Breathe Team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based pulmonary rehabilitation programs to patients with chronic lung disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake respiratory assessments and treatment delivery in hospital, community, and patient home settings.
  • Manage clinical duties autonomously, ensuring professional and legal accountability and clinical risk management.
  • Assess patients with diverse or complex physical and/or psychological conditions to deliver tailored rehabilitation.
  • Supervise students and junior staff, promoting ongoing education and professional development.
  • Use your own vehicle for business purposes, ensuring business insurance and safe driving practices.
  • Participate in on-call and weekend rotas within the hospital, as required.

Person Specification
  • Clinical Exercise Physiologist or Registered AHP/Nurse qualification.
  • Relevant first-level degree or working towards/willing to undertake qualification.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience in respiratory specialty, with a broad range of clinical experience and respiratory knowledge.
  • Community experience, with a focus on pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Experience working in the NHS and community settings.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to organize and manage own caseload, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to support and supervise the work of others, with a willingness to use own vehicle for business purposes.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a focus on patient-centered care.
