About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Sudlows, a leading technical services company in the UK. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of mission critical electrical services for our data centre projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for data centres, including LV distribution, generator and UPS systems
  • Specify mission critical electrical engineering services, including electrical schematic and layout drawings
  • Conduct electrical design calculations using Amtech and create lighting design using Dialux
  • Perform condition surveys and write engineering reports
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement electrical design solutions
  • Work with the procurement team to ensure all necessary specifications and drawings are available for procurement use
  • Review purchase orders for technical design details and communicate with site managers and site engineers
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with data centre installations, preferably with a strong background in electrical design
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a design team environment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and Amtech, with experience in electrical design calculations and lighting design
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and quality
