The Role
We are seeking a Venture Capital Associate or Fellow to join our investing practice. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to drive all aspects of investments, including:
- Defining segments of interest and sourcing investment opportunities
- Conducting research and writing investment memorandums
- Conducting due diligence and supporting transaction execution
- Fundraising and firm operations
- Supporting portfolio companies
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with portfolio companies and stakeholders
- Providing strategic support to portfolio companies
- Conducting market research and analysis
- Identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities
- Assisting in the preparation of investment memorandums and pitches
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with:
- Outstanding research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience in investment banking, private equity, or venture capital
- Demonstrated interest in innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa
- Proven track record of success in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
