Position: Cyber Resilience Analyst

Location: Remote with occasional office presence

Contract Type: Freelance with potential for extension

Job Overview:
* Lead the development, maintenance, and execution of frameworks, policies, and procedures focused on cyber resilience, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
* Serve as a subject matter expert on matters related to cyber resilience and compliance.
* Spearhead initiatives for cyber horizon scanning, enhancing strategic reporting capabilities and actionable insights for the organization.
* Provide timely reporting on key project metrics and escalate any identified issues to management, ensuring clear communication of progress and risks.


Background:
The Security and Operations team is dedicated to managing security risks in alignment with business objectives, fostering sustainable growth, and safeguarding the organization’s assets.


This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Cyber Resilience Team, shaping our strategies for vulnerability testing and compliance with regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:
o Develop and implement policies and procedures related to cyber resilience, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
o Deliver insights into regulatory expectations and industry best practices to inform our operational processes.
o Maintain documentation and metrics related to project progress, ensuring timely issue escalation.
o Lead the second phase of horizon scanning initiatives, refining reporting processes based on previous feedback.
o No direct reports or budget management responsibilities.


Qualifications:
o Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and experience in delivering compliance within the financial services sector.
o Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ITIL, and ISO27001.
o Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+; additional qualifications like CISSP or CRISC are advantageous.
o Proven ability to apply industry best practices in cyber resilience to develop effective business solutions.
o A degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
o Experience in utilizing cyber threat intelligence to enhance organizational resilience in a regulated environment.
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in addressing complex technical challenges.
o Demonstrated strategic thinking and the capacity to devise compliant solutions to cybersecurity issues.
o Experience in vulnerability management and cyber resilience testing within a regulated corporate environment is preferred.
