About the Role

Job Overview
As a Graduate IT Support Technician, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our customers, offering technical support and resolving IT-related issues. This position is ideal for graduates with a solid foundation in SQL, a keen interest in IT support, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide 1st line support for all incoming IT queries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Ticket Management: Triage, manage, and resolve support tickets using our internal ticketing system.
- Database Support: Utilize SQL to manage, query, and troubleshoot database-related issues.
- Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their technical issues and guide them through solutions.
- Problem Diagnosis: Identify, diagnose, and escalate complex technical issues to 2nd and 3rd line support as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and technical documentation.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in IT support to continually improve your skills.
Key Skills & Experience
- Educational Background: Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- SQL Knowledge: Basic proficiency in SQL for database management and troubleshooting, with a willingness to learn and develop further skills.
- Ticketing Systems: Familiarity with support ticketing systems is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a passion for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer-focused: Enthusiastic about delivering high-quality support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
