Paediatric Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide specialist occupational therapy services for children and young people with severe and complex learning difficulties in our special schools.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment, advice, and treatment to a defined caseload of children and young people with severe and complex needs.
- Contribute to the development of the special schools occupational therapy service for children and young people.
- Work in partnership with children and young people, their families, and other professions and agencies to reduce the impact of difficulties on social and emotional development, learning, and daily life.
- Assist the Team Leader in planning and providing commissioned occupational therapy input to clients attending Perseid schools.
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Registration with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs, ASD, neurological conditions, coordination disorders, and functional needs.
- Experience of assessing for the provision of equipment such as specialist seating and splinting.
