We are seeking a diligent and proactive Credit Controller to join our Sales Ledger function. This role is critical in managing and maintaining our accounts receivable and ensuring that outstanding debts are recovered in a timely manner. You will support the team in the timely and accurate billing, collection and credit control of accounts.

  1. Manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
  2. Monitor customer accounts and identify any overdue payments or discrepancies.
  3. Contact customers to chase overdue invoices and resolve any payment issues.
  4. Work closely with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve disputes and ensure a smooth collection process.
  5. Evaluate and assess credit risk for new and existing customers, making recommendations on credit limits.
  6. Support the Finance team with any ad-hoc tasks or projects as required.

Key Skills and Experience:

  1. Previous experience in a credit control, accounts receivable, or finance role is essential.
  2. Detail oriented with the ability to analyse data quickly and effectively.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess creditworthiness and manage risk.
  5. Knowledge of accounting software and financial systems is an advantage.
