As a key member of our site investigation and remediation team, you will work under the direction of program managers and partners to deliver high-quality projects throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise contractors and conduct routine monitoring during site investigations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Participate in regular field work, including walkovers, logging soils, soil and groundwater sampling, and supervising contractors on site to gather data and samples.
  • Provide office support, including data analysis, manipulation, and presentation, as well as reporting and other administrative tasks.
  • Produce high-quality environmental desk studies, site investigation, and verification reports by undertaking both office and site-based work.
  • Develop skills to manage small to medium-sized projects, including financial management, through training and mentorship.
  • Prior experience in supporting investigation, risk assessment, or environmental assessment work with exposure to fieldwork supervision in an environmental or water consultancy is preferred.
  • Experience working on active industrial sites with advanced safety cultures or in remote locations is also preferred.
  • Excellent spatial and temporal data analysis/handling/manipulation and some GIS skills are required.
  • The ability to think outside the box and tackle problems with limited data is essential.
  • Good problem-solving/contingency planning skills with the ability to find quick, innovative, and practical solutions are necessary.
  • Able to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in environmental or water consultancy, preferably with exposure to fieldwork supervision.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients, contractors, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in GIS and data analysis software, with the ability to learn new tools and technologies.
