Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner - Scrub Nurse to join our team at Cromwell Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for surgical procedures
  • Ensure that patients are correctly labelled and dispatched to the laboratory
  • Control cross infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, cleanliness, and sterilization procedures
  • Prepare patients for clinical and operative procedures
  • Provide assistance in clinical and operative procedures
  • Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, unqualified, and less experienced staff

Requirements:

  • 1st level registration Adult and/or Children or Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752
  • Previous perioperative experience in various specialties, including Gynaecology, Urology, General, Plastics, or Kidney Transplant
  • NMC or HCPC registered
  • Knowledge of current professional nursing issues
