About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Engineer to join our client's team. As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for traveling to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.

About the Client:

Our client is a well-established national plant hire firm with over 50 years of experience. They offer a comprehensive training scheme and relevant internal progression routes.

The Package:

  • 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays / Increasing by 1 day for every year of service (25 overall)
  • All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x (GBP21-GBP24 per hour)
  • A minimum of 5 hours of overtime available per week (average availability is 15-20 hours)
  • Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an additional 5 days annual leave per annum
  • Laptop, Company Vehicle & Fuel Card
  • Full training & development with a focus on internal progression

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in the plant, automotive, HGV or agricultural industry (essential)
  • Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
  • Experience working on engines would be advantageous
  • Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience
  • A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Full UK Drivers License
