BSL Communicator

West Herts College is seeking a dedicated and skilled BSL Communicator to join our Additional Learning Support team. This hourly paid position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of learners with hearing impairments.
Our team provides comprehensive support to ensure that all students, regardless of their learning differences, have equal access to educational opportunities. As a BSL Communicator, you will play a vital role in bridging communication gaps and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Your Responsibilities:- Provide one-on-one support to hearing-impaired learners both inside and outside the classroom setting.
- Collaborate with tutors to implement effective classroom intervention strategies tailored to the needs of each student.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure seamless support for learners.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum Level 3 BSL Qualification.
- Proven experience supporting hearing-impaired individuals and working with learners who have learning difficulties or disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
