About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Actuary to join our Pricing team at SCOR. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining pricing models, providing analyses and management information reports to internal and external stakeholders, and pricing outwards reinsurance for the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pricing Model Development and Maintenance
    • Design, develop, evaluate, sensitivity test, and calibrate pricing models
    • Ensure pricing models are appropriately calibrated and used correctly by underwriters
  • Portfolio Analysis and Business Planning
    • Conduct portfolio analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
    • Develop and maintain business plans to ensure long-term profitability targets are met
  • Reporting and Projects
    • Lead and represent the Pricing team in various projects and initiatives
    • Contribute to regulatory tasks such as the Lloyd's Performance Management Data Return (PMDR) and board reports
  • Large Account Pricing and Pricing Reviews
    • Evaluate profitability, exposure, and loss data for key accounts
    • Improve experience rating methodology by leveraging submission data
Requirements
  • Fellow of the IFoA (or any recognised actuarial organisation)
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline or related field required, or equivalence
  • Extensive pricing experience in P&C large corporate insurance and London Market with significant exposure to Property, Energy, and Specialty lines of business
  • Solid understanding of basic ratemaking concepts on exposure adjustments, trend, loss development, exposure rating, and experience rating
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle large, complex datasets
  • Significant experience using Python, R, or any other programming languages in a commercial environment
