We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Practice Nurse to join our team at Minehead Medical Centre, part of OneMedical Group. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.
About the Role:The successful candidate will have experience of working with patients with a variety of long-term health conditions, be comfortable with change, and able to work autonomously. You will be passionate about supporting patients to be healthy by utilizing your skills in health prevention, screening, and early management of long-term health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, including venepuncture, blood pressure, ECG, height/weight/BMI, health promotion, childhood and adult immunisations, wound care, contraception, cervical screening, and spirometry.
- Manage long-term conditions such as diabetes, COPD, and asthma.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver excellent nursing care and maximize practice income.
- Registered with the NMC.
- Degree in Nursing.
- Substantial Practice Nurse experience.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD.
- Minimum of 1 Long Term Condition diploma.
- Familiarity with Patient Group Directions (PGD's) and associated policy.
- NHS Pension with 20.6% Employer Contribution.
- 25 days / 200 hours / 5 weeks annual leave plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata, if part-time).
