Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimating Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a Senior Estimating Engineer, you will play a critical role in the provision of estimates for projects to secure profitable control and automation contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare precise estimates following quality assurance procedures using computerized estimating packages and Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers/subcontractors for project estimates.
  • Perform detailed take-offs to provide comprehensive information for tender reviews and financial control of contracts.
  • Attend site visits and tender review meetings with clients (both domestic and international).
  • Attend kick-off meetings to brief the project team if the tender is successful.
  • Assess the quality of user requirements, scope, specifications, and designs to qualify the basis of estimation.
  • Participate in annual performance reviews and actively engage in all internal and external training courses.
  • Considerable experience in estimating work packages to industry standards, particularly in chemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear, utilities, and food & drink sectors.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of current estimating and commercial practices.
  • Good understanding of engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with project management practices.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • People management skills and knowledge of performance management processes for leadership, coaching, and staff development.
