We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Packaging Technologist to join our team at Pineapple Contracts. As a Packaging Technologist, you will be responsible for the research, development, and sourcing of cost-effective and sustainable packaging solutions for our range of furniture products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new packaging solutions that meet our quality and sustainability standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including NPD, Sustaining Engineering, Marketing, and Purchasing, to deliver packaging specifications, costings, and trials.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and negotiate packaging materials and services.
- Conduct research and testing to identify opportunities for cost reduction and sustainability improvements.
- Develop and champion our sustainable packaging strategy, ensuring alignment with our company values and goals.
- Formal education in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Technology, or equivalent experience developing packaging.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Autodesk Revit experience is a plus.
- Competent use of Microsoft Office and Adobe suite.
