A dynamic and patient-focused group of independent Opticians within the Zest Business Group are seeking a highly skilled Dispensing Optician Manager to lead their well-established practice in Poole, Dorset.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Dispensing Optician to take on a leadership role, providing a personalized dispensing experience for patients and guiding a talented team of Opticians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Opticians to deliver exceptional patient care and service
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the practice, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement clinical strategies, promoting clinical excellence and patient satisfaction
  • Manage the practice's inventory, including optical supplies and equipment
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure access to high-quality products and services
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies, aligning with the Zest Business Group's vision and goals
  • Monitor and analyze practice performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, ensuring the practice remains compliant and competitive

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • Proven leadership or management experience in an optical practice or related field
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of optical practices and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
