Job Overview

The Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Lead HIV Specialist Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of HIV services in the region.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong leadership and management to develop nursing at a strategic and operational level within the service. This will involve working closely with the Consultant Clinical Lead and the Service Manager to drive and shape the Sexual Health Service as it evolves to meet the demands of commissioners and the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HIV nursing policy and procedures
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the HIV nursing team
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and deliver training and education programs for healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and standards for HIV services

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HIV care and experience in leadership and management. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
