Position Title:
  • HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver
Contract Type:
  • Permanent, Full Time
Salary Range:

£41,000 - £44,000 per annum, depending on experience (includes night out allowance)

Role Overview:
  • We are in search of dynamic, customer-oriented, and safety-focused Drivers to fill the role of HGV Class 1 Trampers. This position operates from Sunday to Friday and provides long-term training and support as part of our commitment to organizational growth. Trampers will be responsible for overnight stays in modern, well-equipped vehicles, with weekly returns to base.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate and maneuver an HGV Class 1 vehicle in accordance with regulations and company policies.
  • Transport goods between various locations, adhering to delivery schedules and deadlines.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and hours worked.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with management, dispatchers, and clients.
  • Utilize navigation systems to plan efficient routes.
  • Comply with driving regulations regarding rest periods and driving hours.
  • Maintain professionalism in interactions with clients and the public.
  • Exhibit flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • At least one year of experience as an HGV Class 1 driver.
  • Excellent driving record with no more than 6 points on license.
  • Strong understanding of UK road regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physically fit for long-haul driving.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime.
