Job Opportunity: Learning Support Assistant

TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a large and growing special school. This school provides a high standard of education and focuses on PMLD students of all ages, offering a daily structure and routine to ensure the best learning environment for their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with PMLD in their education, providing 1:1 and small group assistance
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Manage challenging behaviors and maintain a calm and patient demeanor
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
  • Experience working with PMLD students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines
