About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Interim Head of Bioinformatics and Software Development to join our team at Yourgene Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our bioinformatics and software development teams to deliver high-quality software products and applications that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Bioinformatics and Software Development Teams: Provide technical leadership and direction to our bioinformatics and software development teams to deliver complex software projects on time and to budget.
  • Develop and Implement Software Solutions: Design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and align with our company's technology strategy.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our development scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our software solutions meet the needs of our customers and align with our company's goals.
  • Manage Software Development Processes: Ensure that our software development processes are followed and that our software products and applications are developed in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to ensure that our software development processes are efficient and effective.
Requirements
  • 10+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in software application development, testing, and documentation, with a strong background in bioinformatics and software development.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading technical teams to deliver complex software projects on time and to budget.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in software development, bioinformatics, and data science, with experience working with Next Generation Sequencing data sets.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Experience working in a regulated software development environment, with knowledge of ISO/IEC 62304 and 62366-compliant software development processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
