Marks Sattin is partnering with a leading Life Sciences organization in Oxford to recruit a seasoned Inventory Accountant on a permanent basis. This newly created role offers a unique chance to leverage existing skills in inventory management and accounting within a fast-paced and rapidly expanding business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily inventory management and accounting functions, developing strong relationships with operational stakeholders.
  • Drive new processes and controls to ensure a robust and reliable inventory management system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Participate in senior stakeholder meetings to discuss inventory management and accounting strategies.
  • Develop and maintain accurate inventory data, including reconciliations and accounting entries for damaged and aging stock.
  • Conduct regular audits and assist with the finance year-end process.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with a proven background in inventory accounting and stakeholder management.
  • Experience working in a complex and fast-paced finance department.
  • Ability to problem-solve and implement solutions, with a track record of taking ownership and leading projects.
  • Clear experience in managing inventory and associated tasks.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of £70,000 to £75,000 per annum, plus discretionary bonus.
  • Hybrid working options, with a minimum of 3 days in the office.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
