Compensation: £32,983 per annum

We are seeking a dedicated Auto Mail Lead Operator to join our esteemed team at Devonshire. Our facility specializes in comprehensive document services, encompassing both outbound and inbound operations. This includes capabilities in printing, mailing, and warehousing to facilitate efficient mail processing and document management.

WORKING HOURS:

Nights: Week 1 – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, with shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 11 hours per shift.

Week 2 – Monday and Tuesday, maintaining the same shift hours.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

The Lead Operator plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operational tasks while supporting Senior Operator responsibilities. This includes ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs), managing peak workloads, and fostering a collaborative work environment. In the absence of Senior Operators, you will assume leadership for Health and Safety, SLA adherence, and operational planning, including full supervision during weekend shifts. A key aspect of this role is engaging in continuous improvement initiatives, where the Lead Operator will contribute to refining existing processes and developing new operational strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Uphold established quality standards and processes across all tasks, ensuring best practices are implemented.
  2. Exhibit effective coaching skills to enhance team performance.
  3. Oversee team productivity and allocate resources as needed to meet SLAs.
  4. Ensure Operators achieve quality and throughput targets consistently.
  5. Champion continuous improvement efforts within the team.
  6. Assist in identifying process inefficiencies through improvement methodologies.
  7. Take initiative for personal development while mentoring Operators.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

· Proven ability to work under tight deadlines.

· Competence in using PCs and Microsoft applications.

· DMAIC Certification is a plus.

· Prior experience in Auto Mail operations is essential.
