About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Breast Cancer team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert nursing advice and support to patients with breast cancer, from diagnosis to treatment and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic assessment and personalized care planning for patients with breast cancer
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote effective learning and development
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects and clinical trials
Requirements
  • Registered nurse on the relevant part of the NMC register
  • Post-registration qualification in a relevant area of specialty
  • Extensive post-registration experience in a specialist area
  • Knowledge of current issues within the acute health service
  • Understanding of personal accountability and autonomous practice
