Exciting Opportunity for Materials Controller in East London

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Materials Controller to join our team at Velocity Recruitment. As a Materials Controller, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials for multiple residential projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate the ordering, delivery, and storage of materials for multiple residential projects.
  2. Monitor stock levels and forecast material requirements to prevent delays.
  3. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  4. Maintain accurate records of material usage and inventory.
  5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during material handling and storage.
  6. Assist in the preparation of material schedules and reports.
  7. Collaborate closely with project managers, site managers, and procurement teams to optimise material management.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Materials Controller in the residential construction sector.
  2. Strong knowledge of construction materials and supply chain management.
  3. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  5. Proficient in using material management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Valid UK driving license and the ability to travel to various sites in East London.
