We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Materials Controller to join our team at Velocity Recruitment. As a Materials Controller, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials for multiple residential projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the ordering, delivery, and storage of materials for multiple residential projects.
- Monitor stock levels and forecast material requirements to prevent delays.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of material usage and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during material handling and storage.
- Assist in the preparation of material schedules and reports.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, site managers, and procurement teams to optimise material management.
- Proven experience as a Materials Controller in the residential construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and supply chain management.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using material management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid UK driving license and the ability to travel to various sites in East London.
