Job Opportunity
First Achieve Ltd, a leading manufacturer of defence-based components, is seeking a skilled Manual Turner to join their established Engineering Division in the Fife region.
What We Offer:
- A temporary to permanent contract with a 12-week probation period
- A competitive hourly rate of £18 during the temporary period, paid through an agency
- A permanent salary of circa £16 per hour
- A 39-hour work week with a 4.5-day work week
- A regular working schedule from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, and 7am to 1pm on Fridays
- Overtime at 1.5 times the regular rate
This role will report directly to the Workshop Manager and involve working in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manual turning of components using lathes
- Reading and interpreting design and assembly drawings
- Operating power tools and machinery
Essential Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience in manual turning and lathe operation
- Experience working in a workshop environment
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
