Marine Ecologist Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Marine Ecologist to join our team. As a Marine Ecologist, you will play a key role in supporting our growing portfolio of high-profile marine projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical marine ecological and marine consenting advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage inputs to a wide range of workstreams and deliverables across various projects, including EIA and DCO development cycles.
  • Deliver marine ecology impact assessments, including ES chapters and associated assessments.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables and compliance with quality management procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve environmental outcomes.
  • Contribute to work winning, including developing technical and fee proposals.
  • Support project management, including resource and budget management.
  • Mentor and train junior team members.
Requirements:
  • Recognized degree in marine biology/ecology or a related discipline.
  • Comprehensive marine ecological expertise and experience in preparing and reviewing technical chapters and impact assessments.
  • Understanding of marine consenting and licensing regimes across the UK.
  • Ability to work closely with clients and provide bespoke advice.
  • Technical expertise in marine ecology and consenting.
