The Senior Environmental Project Manager will oversee teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-caliber environmental initiatives while adhering to established timelines and budgetary constraints. This role involves crafting tender submissions in collaboration with various internal divisions and external partners to present comprehensive, technically sound, and contractually compliant proposals that enhance the commercial advantages for Boskalis.

Conducting benthic surveys is vital for assessing the environmental repercussions of offshore operations, particularly concerning marine ecosystems. Activities such as oil and gas extraction, offshore wind farm construction, pipeline routing, and dredging can severely impact habitats. Effective habitat mapping is essential for safeguarding these ecosystems and their surroundings.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage projects, ensuring compliance with all financial, contractual, and other obligations as per the agreed terms and in line with the company’s HSSE standards.
  • Prepare, assess, and submit tenders, followed by necessary follow-up actions. Conduct critical reviews of tender and project documentation prepared by Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
  • Serve as a mentor to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and experience.
  • Review, execute, and manage contracts according to the Quality Assurance System, including risk management, budget oversight, performance evaluation, and client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with other Boskalis companies and external clients.
  • Develop strong client relationships, including conducting client visits and formal presentations.
  • Assist in business development and marketing initiatives for the Boskalis Group as needed.

Your Qualifications:
You can excel as a Project Manager if you possess:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Baseline surveys and Habitat assessments, with preferred project management experience.
  • Experience in a similar or related position, including leadership in team settings.
  • Proficient understanding of the complete Microsoft Office suite.
  • Capability to lead and deliver projects across all key business sectors from initiation to completion.
  • A minimum of 3 years of project, commercial, strategic, and/or financial experience, ideally within the marine or survey sector.

  • Work Environment: This position is full-time (37.5 hours per week).
