Pension Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pension Manager to join our team at Experis - ManpowerGroup. As a key member of our pension management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our pension schemes, ensuring they operate effectively and meet performance, quality, and customer care targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pension Scheme Oversight: Oversee the administration of funds in conjunction with Trustees, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Pension Policy Development: Develop and implement pensions policies and pension and benefits packages, aligning with company goals and objectives.
  • Fund Strategy and Structure: Review, discuss, and agree fund strategies and structure with the company board, investment managers, and other advisers.
  • Performance Monitoring: Calculate the performance and value of funds, ensuring they meet performance targets and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with current statutory regulations and monitor changes in the legal situation for pensions providers and developments in pension provision.
  • Pension Claims: Deal with complex pension claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Communication Strategies: Develop communication strategies to promote the benefits of pension schemes to employees and stakeholders.
  • Relationship Management: Manage the relationship between the employer and Trustees, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to the company board and stakeholders, highlighting pension scheme performance and any areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working within pension management.
  • Experience developing pensions policies and redesigning pension and benefits packages.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks related to pension schemes.
  • Experience reviewing, discussing, and agreeing on fund strategies and structure with relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience dealing with complex pension claims.
  • Experience advising on financial issues.
  • Experience monitoring pension scheme deficits and preparing relevant reports.
