Job Description

At Jackson Hogg Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial department, you will be responsible for managing contracts relating to projects, studying the legalities of contracts, and helping to negotiate terms and conditions with clients and third parties.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contract Management: Develop and present commercial project proposals, draft and advise on Contract Terms, and review and formalise contractual requirements.
  2. Commercial Insight: Provide commercial insight across all activities of the project, maintaining Operating Profit and identifying opportunities for growth.
  3. Client Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients, site and project managers, and develop and maintain business relationships.
  4. Dispute Resolution: Manage, mitigate, and close all Contract and Subcontract disputes.
  5. Reporting: Monitor performance of all commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for the board of Directors.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Proven experience in a role within the Construction and Engineering Sector.
  2. Commercial Acumen: Commercially astute, understands the competitive market, and manages risk - commercial, operational, and financial.
  3. Contract Knowledge: Understanding of varied Contract Forms (NEC, MF1, JCT, Yellow book etc.).
  4. Travel: Ability to travel (Hybrid working policy).
