About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Knee Consultant to join our team at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Trauma and Orthopaedics department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based care for patients in a multidisciplinary setting, working closely with colleagues to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain sub-specialty interests that align with the needs of our division and the strategic direction of the Trust.
  • Contribute to the leadership and development of services under the direction of the Clinical Lead and Associate Medical Director.
  • Undertake direct supervision of junior colleagues and participate in departmental and trust-wide teaching programmes.
  • Participate in clinical audit and continuing medical education, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards.
Person Specification
  • Fully registered with the GMC.
  • Sub-specialty interest in all aspects of knee surgery, with ideally a recognised completed knee fellowship and experience in complex knee trauma, including peri-prosthetic fracture management and multi-ligament surgery.
