The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to propel their career forward, demonstrating both potential and enthusiasm for their professional venture. Our client is looking for someone with a keen ambition to contribute to the optimisation of project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accurately tender jobs from construction drawings, site visits, and meetings with clients.
  2. Manage the contracts Supply Chain with regards to subcontractor costs.
  3. Contribute to the optimisation of project profitability.
  4. Identify, develop, and implement opportunities for efficiencies and service optimisation in all cash-flow related processes.
  5. Generate monthly applications and invoicing for our clients.
  6. Create cost reports and deftly control budgets.
  7. Produce Monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports and in-depth cost reports.
  8. Forecast cost to complete larger projects.

Experience and Qualifications

  1. A Civil/Commercial/Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent.
  2. Proven experience as a QS/Contract/Commercial Manager.
  3. Extensive knowledge and experience of construction contracts, cost management, and estimating.
  4. Advanced analytical skills.
  5. Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel/Word/Outlook.
  6. A full UK driving licence.
