Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Hygiene Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and review the activities of a team of hygiene operatives to ensure that all sanitation processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards are maintained.
  2. Develop and implement a recruitment and training plan to ensure the team has the right resources and skills to deliver the master cleaning schedule.
  3. Create and present a clear forward resourcing plan for cleaning, sanitation, environment, and technical activities.
  4. Direct and monitor the team's delivery of day-to-day hygiene activities to ensure operational integrity.
  5. Communicate and validate the team's adoption of amendments to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure effective implementation and improvement of hygiene performance and safety practices.
  6. Review equipment and highlight damage or risks to inform the preventative maintenance programme.
  7. Ensure personal and team compliance with inventory controls to facilitate timely replacement of materials.
  8. Provide information to customers and regulatory bodies to demonstrate process and procedures.
  9. Ensure a safe working environment for colleagues and maintain departmental standards in accordance with the SHE Policy.
Requirements
  1. Food Hygiene NVQ level 2/certification of sanitation or equivalent.
  2. Basic Health and Safety NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
  3. Chemical Handling (as per local site requirement).
  4. Detailed understanding of the impact of legislation on day-to-day operations in relation to food safety.
  5. Previous experience in FMCG or similar hygiene role.
  6. Detailed familiarity with local SOPs.
