About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Section Leader to join our team at Network Rail. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and inspiring a team involved in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and inspire a team to achieve excellent results in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal activities.
  • Establish safety arrangements and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Check the quality of work and provide feedback to team members.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and renewal plans to ensure the smooth operation of our network.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing.
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques.
  • Hold or be working towards an NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or have attained the appropriate level of knowledge gained through equivalent relevant experience.
  • A valid driving license and a requirement to upgrade to a higher category license.
