Fire & Security Engineer

Howells Solution is seeking a skilled Fire & Security Engineer to join our team. As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for providing field support for reactive and maintenance works for our existing customer base. You will also be required to carry out small installations, commissioning, and the occasional site survey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair on designated equipment
  • Completing preventative maintenance and field modifications
  • Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service log books and internal PDA reporting in a timely manner
  • Maintaining effective communications with customers and office to ensure resolution and proper follow-up
  • Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated
  • Meeting Health & Safety and all other applicable regulatory requirements
  • Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, and system sales
  • Be part of the emergency out of hours standby engineering team and go on the daily call out rota
Salary & Benefits:
  • Basic Salary £28K - £36K (Depending on Experience)
  • You can earn up to £40K - £45K from overtime, call out, and bonus
  • Time and a half paid after 40 Hours - Plenty of overtime available if you want it
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
  • Call out 1 in 10 days
  • 25 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
  • Paid Christmas shut down on top of your holiday allowance
  • Paid travel time from home to first job and return to home
  • Vehicle, fuel card & mobile telephone provided
