Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Validation Engineer to join our team on a 9-month contract. As an Industrial Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for validating the external supply chain to ensure successful delivery of parts required to support Development programmes in preparation for full rate Production.

Key Responsibilities:

\u2022 Handling a portfolio of suppliers on a day-to-day basis and managing the project Industrial Validation Plan
\u2022 Assessing and validating the supply chain and suppliers' capability to meet requirements
\u2022 Undertaking Industrial Validation activities such as Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews in preparation for series production
\u2022 Identifying and mitigating potential manufacturing and supply chain risks and putting in place associated improvement and mitigation plans
\u2022 Managing and validating elements of manufacturing capability transfer from in-house to supplier
\u2022 Collaborating and supporting a multi-functional team

Requirements:

\u2022 A Manufacturing Engineering biased professional with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, with an appreciation for project delivery/project management
\u2022 Experience of manufacturing or supplier quality in the Aerospace or Defence environments is desirable
\u2022 Capable of supporting suppliers/customers to ensure that they develop robust manufacturing systems and control plans, to enable the capability to deliver on-quality, on-time, and on-cost in series production
\u2022 Ideally, the applicant will have New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or manufacturing capability transfer experience
\u2022 Proficient in Industrial Validation tools such as Process FMEAs, Measurement System Analysis, Process Mapping, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews
\u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within Supply Chain for manufacturing system deviations
\u2022 Excellent communication skills, requiring close working with Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality organisations
