Job Summary:

Morson Talent is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our client's Quality Team in a Formula One environment. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of metallic components and performing metrology and analysis tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of manufacturing technologies to aid in the inspection of metallic and/or composite components.
  • Use metrology tools and methods, including visual inspection, hand tools, programming and operating CMMs, use of Absolute/Romer arms (probing and scanning), shadowgraphs, surface testers, and contour tracing machines.
  • Ensure that parts are inspected and processed during the required time periods.
  • Communicate effectively with designers, manufacturers, and other team members to report pertinent information.
  • Organize tasks efficiently and maintain a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Be flexible to provide support in composite quality control if required.

Requirements:

  • Possess a recognized apprenticeship or relevant experience in a similar environment.
  • Proven experience within a Quality Inspection, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T.
  • Previous Polyworks experience is highly advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
  • Structured approach to work organization with well-developed time management skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, prioritizing tasks set by the Quality Control Manager/Shift Lead.
