As a Senior Financial Analyst within the UK Controllership team, you will report directly to the Manager of UK Controllership, overseeing group, statutory, and regulatory reporting while ensuring the financial integrity and governance of UK legal entities. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Audit & Finance, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, and Global Finance Operations, to support diverse legal entity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the accuracy of UK ledgers, manage the US GAAP month-end close, and verify compliance of entries from Finance and non-Finance teams with relevant US GAAP and internal policies.
  • Prepare month-end reports based on legal entity Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries related to legal entities.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements under IFRS (FRS 101) and support the external audit process in collaboration with the Legal Entity Reporting (LER) team.
  • Provide insights for regular financial updates and results analysis to legal entity boards and operating committees.
  • Stay informed about all Regulatory and Statutory Reporting requirements, including FRS101/IFRS and the Companies Act.
  • Work closely with Line of Business Segment Controllership teams to ensure coordinated support for business transactions, sharing knowledge and optimizing resources.
  • Prepare and regularly update forecasts for legal entities.
  • Complete filings to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Office of National Statistics (ONS).
  • Monitor intercompany transactions and ensure appropriate service fees for accurate transfer pricing.
  • Actively seek opportunities for process enhancements across all responsibilities, implementing new systems and tools, eliminating non-value-added tasks, and streamlining procedures.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining legal entity governance while accounting entries and processes are managed by various teams focused on line of business results. Effective coordination with cross-functional teams and influencing business partners on legal entity and accounting requirements will be essential. You will also support the assessment and communication of IFRS implications, ensuring high-quality financial information is delivered within critical deadlines.

Qualifications:
  • Qualified accountant, preferably with experience in practice or audit.
  • Background in accounting, reporting, and statutory audit.
  • Familiarity with IFRS reporting requirements; knowledge of US GAAP and UK Companies Act is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS-Office applications and experienced with Oracle.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and operate autonomously.
  • Experience in a large company or global matrix environment.
  • Results-oriented with the capability to handle multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
