About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Social Worker - Assessment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assessing the parenting capacity of families involved with children's services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive parenting assessments using evidence-based methods.
  • Work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to understand their strengths and areas for development.
  • Produce high-quality reports for the courts and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver interventions and support plans to enhance parenting skills.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
Requirements
  • Holds a degree in social work and is qualified as a Social Worker.
  • Has a minimum of 2 years' experience in children's social work, ideally including experience of conducting parenting assessments.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Is a strong analytical thinker with excellent report writing skills.
  • Has a passion for safeguarding children and a commitment to social justice.
  • Is a team player with a flexible and adaptable approach.
