Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Major Recruitment. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting plant operations and products, overseeing process engineering functions, and leading capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Engineering Leadership: Oversee the process engineering function, supporting plant operations and products, and leading Front End Engineering Design and Process Engineering Design studies.
  • Documentation and Support: Prepare relevant process engineering documents for FEED studies, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, commissioning procedures, equipment specifications, data sheets, and calculations.
  • EHS Compliance: Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements, policies, and principles.
  • Project Planning and Management: Manage the installation and commissioning of new or modified plants, ensuring cost, time, and quality targets are met.
  • Capital Projects: Lead the conceptual phase of capital projects, developing strategies to expand and provide capacity to suit business requirements.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Assist in HAZOPs, LOPAs, design reviews, and risk assessments, implementing recommendations and following best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead CI activities, supporting manufacturing troubleshooting and optimizing processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Professional Certifications: Chartered Chemical Engineer/IChemE (desirable, but not essential)
  • Work Experience: Previously worked in a COMAH site
  • Skills and Abilities: Dynamic personality with an entrepreneurial spirit to identify improvement opportunities, working knowledge of DSEAR, CDM, COMAH, skilled in Project Management, ability to work autonomously, and strong problem-solving skills.
