The Role: Caseworker
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caseworkers to join our Eastern PIC team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in empowering victims by offering tailored support and guidance throughout their journey of recovery.
Your Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage a caseload of individuals who have experienced crime, ensuring each receives personalized attention and care.
- Conduct thorough risk and needs assessments to understand the unique circumstances of each client and tailor support accordingly.
- Provide comprehensive information and advocacy services, empowering victims to navigate the legal system and access available resources.
- Identify barriers that may hinder individuals from accessing our services and collaborate with colleagues to develop effective solutions.
- Foster strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including service users, law enforcement agencies, and community partners.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records, adhering to strict data protection guidelines.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- A genuine understanding of the profound impact crime has on victims and a commitment to providing compassionate support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality services within a similar field, demonstrating your ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Proficiency in using common IT applications to manage case files and communicate effectively.
- A strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively to achieve shared goals.
