The Cambian Group, a leading provider of specialized services in education, mental health rehabilitation, and learning disabilities, seeks a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Cleaning Specialist at Cambian Wing College in Bournemouth.
Cambian Wing College is an independent provider of specialist further education and residential care in the South West. We offer day and up to 52-week residential placements for young people aged 16 to 25 years. Our students typically have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mental Health conditions, and a range of behavioral, emotional, and complex needs (including medical).
This role involves maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, and pleasant environment for our residents and staff through various cleaning tasks.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Arrive at work punctually and consistently.
- Clean all assigned areas and items as directed by your supervisor.
- Utilize materials efficiently and economically.
- Handle equipment and materials safely, ensuring that students/residents do not access potentially harmful substances during use.
- Store all equipment securely in designated locations after use.
- Prioritize your own safety and the well-being of others. This includes understanding workplace hazards, adhering to safety rules and procedures, and taking proactive steps to prevent accidents or risks to yourself or others. Contribute to a secure environment for students.
- Knowledge of effective cleaning methods for various surfaces.
- Understanding of safe working practices.
- Experience using equipment and materials in settings where care is essential to prevent harm to others.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
- Capacity to build positive relationships with young people and staff while maintaining professionalism within a dynamic environment.
