Behaviour Support Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to join our team at a dynamic secondary school in Newcastle. As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social emotional behaviour difficulties, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to manage and support pupils with challenging behaviour.
- Establish and maintain a 1:1 mentoring relationship with identified students, working collaboratively with teachers, Heads of House, and support staff to promote effective behaviour management.
- Work with parents to ensure effective communication and support, helping them to understand and address individual children's behaviour and learning needs.
- Provide individual and group support to raise self-esteem and confidence, promoting personal and social skills development.
- Monitor progress and maintain improvements in behaviour, working closely with the school community to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
