Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Instructor to deliver personalized educational assistance to disengaged students with special needs.

Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will provide tailored 1:1 support to students in Hornchurch who are currently not enrolled in a formal educational setting. The focus will be on a student diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex physical challenges, who has not yet experienced formal education in the UK.

The instructor will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating the student's current educational level.
  • Reintroducing structured learning into their daily routine.
  • Supporting the student until a suitable educational placement is identified.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with SEND or disengaged learners.
  • Previous teaching experience within a UK classroom environment.
  • A creative and patient approach, with the ability to think innovatively.

Requirements:
Applicants must also:

  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Provide two professional references related to child care.
