Role Summary:

Digital Waffle is looking for a seasoned Infrastructure Project Manager to spearhead a pivotal transformation initiative aimed at transitioning legacy on-premise infrastructure to Azure cloud solutions. This position offers a competitive daily rate and operates outside of IR35 regulations, providing you with the necessary flexibility. Your primary responsibilities will include managing comprehensive infrastructure transitions, retiring outdated systems, and supervising substantial upgrades.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Transition & Retirement: Strategically plan and implement the migration of legacy on-premise infrastructure to Azure, ensuring operational continuity. Effectively retire obsolete systems while adhering to organizational standards.
  • Cloud Migration Oversight: Direct the migration process, guaranteeing a smooth transition from legacy systems to contemporary cloud-based infrastructures.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across various levels, providing transparent communication and ensuring alignment on project objectives, schedules, and outcomes.
  • Project Management Methodologies: Leverage your expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to effectively manage project timelines, deliverables, and team collaboration.
  • System Upgrades & Improvements: Oversee infrastructure enhancements to boost system performance and align with evolving business requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrated Experience: A robust background in infrastructure project management, particularly in overseeing infrastructure transitions, system retirements, and large-scale migrations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with legacy on-premise systems and cloud technologies, specifically Azure.
  • Methodological Expertise: Strong command of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Effective Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential challenges.
