Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Covering the South UK region, this exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Multiskilled Field Service Engineer to join a leading industrial shredder equipment market company.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Field Service Engineer to travel to customer sites, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on industrial shredding machinery, ensuring minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with experience in installing and commissioning industrial machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to customer sites to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on industrial shredding machinery
  • Perform inspections and services of shredders and recycling machinery
  • Install and commission shredder machinery newly delivered to customers
  • Provide basic shredder operation and maintenance training to customer operators
  • Frequent overnight stays and weekend work may be required
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained Electrical/Mechanical Engineer (Multiskilled)
  • Single or 3-phase Electrical qualifications or experience is essential
  • Skilled in diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical machinery faults
  • Experience working with gearboxes and bearings
  • Full UK driving licence (ideally clean)
Additional Benefits:
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00 and Friday 08:00-15:30
