Job Summary

AESC UK is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for further developing and benchmarking our Quality Management System, which is independently certificated to IATF16949:2016.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and further develop the existing Quality Management System to ensure it satisfies the needs of the business.
  • Work with Corporate Quality teams to develop group level processes and documentation aligned to certificated standards and industry best practice.
  • Coordinate and facilitate customer audit and third-party audits (such as certification and surveillance audits).
  • Internal audit schedule planning - system/process/product audits across multiple production sites.
  • Carry out internal system/process/product audits across multiple production sites.
  • Monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Observation Forms (OFI) status, including supporting auditees with corrective action/improvement plans.
  • Supervise Quality Management System technicians.
  • Mentor and deliver Quality Management System training as required.

Requirements

  • HNC or equivalent in a related Quality Assurance/Systems/engineering or science subject.
  • Lead Auditor certification and experience preferred – IATF16949 / VDA6.3 or other certificated/regulated standards.
  • Extensive experience of Quality Management System - IATF 16949:2016 / ISO9001:2015 / VDA6.3:2023 or other certificated management systems - system implementation, development, and maintenance experience.
  • Experience of third-party audit / customer audit.
  • Internal systems audit – experience of planning, conducting, and monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Driving license and vehicle.
  • Flexible for UK and occasional overseas travel.
  • Flexible working (may be requirement for overtime or adjustment of the working day/week during busy periods).
