Job Title: Freelance Site Engineer - Concrete Works

Location: Sheffield

Contract Duration: 12 Months

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a major civil engineering project. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out and QA of RC and Concrete works over a 12-month period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out reinforced concrete pits, walls, and bases
  • Installation of embedded items, such as bolt groups and pipes
  • Supervising the construction of concrete slabs, drainage systems, pipework, and gullies
  • Ensuring accurate measurements and alignment for all reinforced concrete structures
  • Coordinating with Project Management team and Main Contractor Team
  • Maintaining and updating records, drawings, and site documentation
  • Performing QA/QC
  • Producing relevant documents and records

Requirements:

  • Site Engineer with a strong background in Civils and Concrete Works
  • Strong background in working with reinforced concrete structures and embedded items
  • Proficiency with Robotic Total Station and use of AutoCAD
  • A solid understanding of health and safety standards on construction sites
  • CSCS is essential for the role
