This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the high-quality care we provide to children across Lancashire and South Cumbria. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team of 10 acute paediatric consultants, working collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive general paediatric care, including inpatient consultations, ward rounds, and emergency management in the Emergency Department, Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU), and wards.
  • Specialize in diabetes and endocrinology, managing a diverse caseload of patients with these conditions through outpatient clinics and inpatient care.
  • Participate in a shared on-call rota, ensuring 24/7 coverage for general paediatric emergencies.
  • Contribute to the training and development of junior doctors and medical students.
  • Engage in clinical audit and service improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
