Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our newly created team at East of England Ambulance Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent healthcare to our staff and patients.

Main Duties

As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload of staff and patients, providing care and support within Occupational Health Services. You will demonstrate highly developed and advanced specialist knowledge and skills through innovative practice, leading to training provision and manager support that ensures the effective and efficient use of resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of staff as patients, providing expert care and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the team and service improvements.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of team members.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and staff on occupational health matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a clinical degree and relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience. Essential criteria include expert knowledge of patient assessment/triage, managed a caseload, experience of leadership, and experience of providing expert advice. Desirable criteria include occupational health qualification and experience of delivering a vaccination program.
