Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fast-paced and exciting SEN school in Totnes. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with moderate to severe learning difficulties, helping them access education and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality educational sessions
  • Support students in the classroom and in the surrounding community, helping them access learning and participate in activities
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the needs of students with SEN

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to supporting students with SEN
